Water Street holds a special place in the hearts of many—myself included. There are certain things that really put it in a league of its own. The garden-like landscaping, unique architecture, and “old-timey” service come together to create a shop that feels outside of time. I really wanted to create a design that encapsulates this meeting of historical charm and modern creativity!

I am a Kalamazoo local and Water Street’s chalkboard artist! Since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by the small aspects of life that bring about beauty and light. I am passionate about using mediums such as chalk, paint, and digital art to magnify these aspects and allow others a glimpse into this perspective.
